More than a date and a number
For selected high-impact releases, ParadTrade clients receive the market context, assets in focus and possible reaction scenarios.
How it works
Where economic-calendar data comes from
The institution schedules it
Statistics offices, central banks and ministries publish schedules, often months in advance.
The market forms a forecast
Before publication, economists’ estimates are aggregated into a consensus used as the forecast.
The release updates the calendar
When the figure is released, it becomes the actual value and can trigger a market repricing.
FAQ
Economic calendar questions
What is an economic calendar?
It is a schedule of official macroeconomic releases, central-bank decisions, speeches and other events that can affect financial markets.
Who sets the release time?
The publishing institution sets the date and time: for example a statistics office, central bank, ministry or industry organization. Calendar providers aggregate those schedules.
Why can an event time change?
Publishing institutions can revise dates, postpone a release or change a preliminary schedule. The calendar is refreshed regularly and shows the latest imported version.
What do actual, forecast and previous mean?
Actual is the released figure, forecast is the market consensus before publication, and previous is the earlier reported value, which can later be revised.
